The Tea Party’s splendid successes, which have altered the nation’s political vocabulary and agenda, have inspired a counter-movement — Occupy Wall Street (OWS). Conservatives should rejoice and wish for it long life, abundant publicity and sufficient organization to endorse congressional candidates deemed worthy. All Democrats eager for OWS’s imprimatur, step forward.

Occupy Wall Street has already won, perhaps not the victory most of its participants want, but a momentous victory nonetheless. It has already altered our political debate, changed the agenda, shifted the discussion in newspapers, on cable TV, and even around the water cooler. And that is wonderful.

Ngày 12/10, người dân Anh lại đón nhận thêm một thông tin xấu từ thị trường việc làm khi Cơ quan Thống kê Quốc gia (ONS) công bố số người thất nghiệp đã tăng 114.000 người chỉ trong ba tháng, tính đến hết tháng 7/2011, nâng tổng số người bị mất việc làm trong cả nước lên 2,57 triệu người.

Như vậy, tỷ lệ thất nghiệp ở Anh đã tăng từ 7,7% trong ba tháng trước đó lên 8,1%, mức cao nhất trong 17 năm qua.
